This Privacy Policy describes how shop.ynab.com (the “Site”, “YNAB Shop”, or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information (defined below) when you visit or make a purchase from the Site. Please note anywhere we say “you”, “your”, etc., we are referring to you, the individual reading this privacy policy and using the YNAB Shop, whether you make a purchase with us or not.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our main YNAB Privacy Policy (the “main Privacy Policy”). Please read both as they both apply to you and contain important information about how we process your information. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and our main Privacy Policy, with respect to your use of the YNAB Shop, the terms contained in this Privacy Policy will govern. However, please note there are places below where we direct you to our main Privacy Policy with respect to a certain policy or practice. With respect to your use of the main ynab.com site and associated applications, the main Privacy Policy will govern.

Please note that the YNAB Shop is only intended for use by U.S.-based customers that are over the age of 13. Anyone outside of the U.S. will not be able to make purchases successfully on the YNAB Shop because we only ship to U.S. addresses. As such, we do not collect order-related information (such as name, shipping address, and payment information) from non-U.S.-based customers, though we may still collect device and browsing information from all visitors as described above. Some parts of this Privacy Policy may not apply to non-U.S.-based visitors.

Collecting Personal Information

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support or sign up to receive physical mailings or other materials from us. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our e-commerce platform provider and our behavior analytics provider. We may also share this data with third-party analytics services and self-hosted data collection services to collect and analyze usage information.

Order Information 

• Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. 
• Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services, and for analytics on web traffic or usage of the YNAB Shop. • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our e-commerce platform provider and our fulfillment and shipping provider (payment information is not shared with the fulfillment provider). We may also share this data with third-party analytics services and self-hosted data collection services to collect and analyze usage information.

Customer Support Information 

• Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. 
• Purpose of collection: to provide customer support relating to your orders. 
• Source of collection: collected from you or via email. 
• Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our fulfillment provider.

• Purpose of collection: to register your interest in receiving physical mailings or other materials from us, to ship those materials to you, and to communicate with you regarding those mailings.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 years of age. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. Sharing Personal Information 

We share your Personal Information with third-party service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described below.

For purposes of your use of the YNAB Shop, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we may believe to be of interest to you. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

We have incorporated cookies and similar technology from third parties into the YNAB Shop to provide tailored advertisements and analyze advertising performance. We do NOT sell personal information in the traditional sense (i.e., for money).
